Our “Wine Room” is a private wine cellar with dining for only two. Rated one of the most romantic dining rooms in New York by the New York Times, it has a secret past. A trap door leads the way to a series of subterranean tunnels used as a Speak-easy in the 1920’s. The ceiling has 13 steel eyebeams which protected the contents of this secret vault for over 50 years, as well. Now uncovered, this romantic chamber brings the most intimate and unique dining experience to those in love, one couple at a time. A private server will attend to each couples tastes with a personalized menu and wine selection.

Wine Room at Philip Marie
Upon your arrival, you will be escorted to the Wine Room.
You will begin your evening with a glass of Champagne and an assortment of Hors d’oeuvres.
The server will then offer suggestions for the balance of your three courses, guiding you with wine selections that will pair perfectly with your choices.
You actually customize your menu for the evening according to your tastes, mood and dietary restrictions.
Choose from our standard menu, daily specials and ingredients available that evening.

The room is equipped with its own stereo system and the finest selection of jazz and romantic classics. If you wish to bring your own musical selections, your private server will be happy to play them for you.
